Self-Fluxing Alloy Spraying

What is Self-Fluxing Alloy Spraying?

After self-fluxing alloy powder is sprayed on the base material, the powder is heated (fused) to the melting point of the sprayed material to form a film on the base material surface. Self-fluxing alloy is created from nickel base, cobalt base and nickel chrome base by adding boric acid and silicon to the alloy.

  Features of Self-Fluxing Alloy Spraying Features  

Excellent Impact Resistance

As the sprayed material is fused with the base material, no flaking is caused by impact. The alloy layer is created, so high adhesion is realized.

Excellent Abrasion Resistance

The organization on the cross section of film consists of eutectic crystals of HV 900 to 1000 and carbides and chrome borides are evenly distributed. Depending on the material, the film hardness is not lowered even at the high temperatures of 500 to 600 degrees C. As the dilution rate is low, desired hardness can be obtained, even in thin film. Also, the hard layers are evenly distributed, so that excellent abrasion resistance can be obtained.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance

As a film without any pores is created by fusing, excellent corrosion resistance can be obtained.
